FAQs

Why don't organisations do what you offer themselves?

They can if they have the time and expertise. Our service has been developed over two decades of working with academic and corporate learning organisations that struggle to achieve alignment of their learning and business objectives.

What is the relevance of your service to non-profit providers?

With ever-decreasing government and corporate funding, all learning providers, regardless of their governance structure, are under pressure to think, plan and execute in a way that continually progresses the learning excellence and financial health of their organisations.

How do we know if we are credible?

Please see our client list, testimonials, and team bios.

How do you and a client measure ROI?

Prior to commencing a project, we establish the measures of success for the objectives with our client. This provides the parameters for the scope of work (SOW) against which efficacy of the project is measured. We pay equal attention to the return on learning and return on investment for the organisation and its constituents. We only commit to a project if we believe we can contribute to both.

What if a client measures no improvement after your intervention?

While this has not been the case for any Learning Advisory client, we would provide a full money back guarantee in the instance of no improvement aligned to the objectives and delegations of the SOW.

You’ve said it yourself, providers are time and resource poor. Why would they spend money on an external party not already on the payroll, with no guarantee of success?

While an organisation may have fewer resources than it would like, this should not dilute its commitment to both its mission and margin. We provide the expertise to accelerate these objectives in partnership with our clients.

Can’t you just provide a short workshop on aligning learning and business priorities for key staff to execute on?

Due to the complexities of aligning a learning and commercial priorities, a workshop or two is simply not sufficient. This is the problem Learning Advisory provides a solution for.

What about widespread cynicism towards consultants being expensive know-it-alls?

Balancing learning excellence with financial health can be overwhelming. To address this challenge, we work collaboratively with your teams during diagnostic reviews to establish priorities for action. Together, we identify necessary steps and set realistic deadlines, ensuring those responsible are actively involved in creating their task lists. This approach fosters ownership and accountability, rather than imposing arbitrary to-do lists.
